You never know where a journey will take you until you take that first step. A year and a half ago I was renting out small spaces to give talks and host events where most of the people who showed up were family and friends. Now I in one week I am flying to countries around the region like Oman and Kuwait to speak at incredible organizations and meet inspiring leaders.

Not in a million years would I have ever thought my work would bring me to this point in my life. To be able to inspire and impact people’s lives around the world is something I only dreamed of. The three things I remember most from year and a half journey so far are my work and my family.

I dedicated everything I had to becoming the best speaker I could be, waking up early, practicing my talks over and over again with my wife as my audience. Every time I went on stage I treated it like my last, I gave it everything I had, I want the audience to be able to remember the talk I gave them 50 years from now.

That work kept me going, it kept me improving, it opened up doors and gave me opportunities. People can deny you, but they can never deny your hard work, and it is only a matter of time until your work takes you places that nobody can stop you from reaching.

The second and most important part of that journey has been the support of my family. The patience and understanding of my wife has been a major part of what allows me to do this work with peace in my heart.

All the late nights she stays up with me to help me practice, all the traveling I have had to do where she would take care of the house and kids. Salama your support is the reason I am today, every success I achieve is yours before it is mine, I love you.

I want to give a huge shout out to all of you who have supported me in this journey, I see every message, snap, and tweet that comes through. You are my family, I owe you all so much, and you only inspire me to work even harder. God bless you all.

Whatever it is you are waiting for, whatever it is you want to become, take that first step, work hard like it’s your only chance, and have the people who love you by your side. I know now that with those things in your life, anything is possible, let’s go.
